Career Coaching

for Former USAID, Federal, & INGO Employees

After decades dedicating yourself to international development and federal service, you’re suddenly facing an uncertain future. The transition isn't just jarring—it's disorienting. You're asking yourself:

  • How do I translate my specialized experience to the private sector, or launching my own enterprise?

  • Where can I continue to make a meaningful impact in this new landscape?

  • How do I compete when countless others with similar backgrounds are also pursuing limited opportunities?

  • What is possible that I haven't yet considered?

You're not just changing jobs—

you're reimagining your professional identity.

holistic, strategic coaching

I help former federal and INGO leaders navigate their next chapter with confidence, purpose, and sustained motivation.

We'll integrate the forest and the trees—your personal leadership journey and urgent needs of the moment.

We could be a great fit if you:

  • Are transitioning from 10+ years of service (especially USAID, State Department, or INGOs) and seek clarity on your next leadership chapter

  • Want to understand the patterns that might be holding you back (perfectionism, people-pleasing, or overthinking)

  • Need a confidential space to process the identity shift required for your next role, or the abrupt transition from overseas

  • Find yourself cycling between intense action and burnout as you navigate this change

  • Seek both structured support and creative thinking to envision possibilities beyond the conventional paths

clients i’ve coached through career transitions

Executive Director of INGO turned CEO of Social Enterprise

Lisa has shown up for me in extraordinary ways as I navigated the most intense season of my career. Her ability to balance inner work, strategic priorities, and practical next steps is truly exemplary in a coach. I leave our sessions with valuable new insights and feeling more resourced to solve dilemmas. I found clarity amidst competing demands and made a major professional transition.

Director at INGO

After working with Lisa I know how to get past the feeling of not belonging in the room. I can show up more confident in my expertise, and the value I have to add in spaces that had been incredibly intimidating to me.

Federal Consultant turned Vice President at National Nonprofit

Professional turmoil was spilling into every aspect of my life. Lisa provided the confidential space, perspective, and tools I needed to make a difficult professional pivot. I had a lot of grief and anger about how it happened, but Lisa helped me make something constructive out of it. And turns out I am so much happier in my new job. I have energy for my kid and my own life. And I’m still making an impact.

ABOUT ME

After 15 years as a educator, with much of that time spent living and working abroad, I successfully navigated my own career pivot into executive coaching. My global perspective comes from both my international teaching experience and my role as a facilitator with Opportunity Collaboration, where I've guided cross-sector changemakers through powerful, relationship-focused dialogues.

I've worked with leaders in diverse sectors—from Fortune 500 companies to global NGOs to impact enterprises—solving team dilemmas, navigating critical moments of change, and making their leadership journey more meaningful and sustainable. Recently, I taught the Enneagram at INSEAD and Bard's MBA in Sustainability program, focusing on self-leadership, building growth-oriented relationships, and resilience.

Living in DC, I have witnessed the devastating and seemingly never-ending impacts of recent policy shifts on my neighbors and friends.

I bringing a lifetime of expertise in navigating uncertainty and major identity shifts, in out-of-the-box thinking, in maintaining momentum and a commitment to learning in community.
